The Joint Meeting of Essex and Union Counties is completing construction of a new co-generation facility to house six (6) 800KW gas fueled engine generators capable of providing sufficient electrical energy for the entire wastewater treatment plant. Digester gas will be utilized from the current plant process and supplemented by natural gas to fuel the engines.
Crane is responsible for the architectural, mechanical and electrical design and construction phase services for the new co-generation plant.
|Linden Roselle Sewerage Authority
The original portion of this facility was constructed in 1948. Subsequent expansions of the plant were completed in the early 1960s and the late 1970s. Due to aging, the plant infrastructure and Sludge Processing Facilities have deteriorated and become outdated. Crane was called in as a consultant to the Authoritys Engineering firm in upgrading the existing facilities to accommodate changes in the process and to renovate the associated buildings back to first class condition.
|Sussex County MUA - Admin Offices and Maint Facil
The two story Administration Building wing was constructed for the purpose of housing the administrative offices for the Authority.
The Administration Building was designed as an extension to the then existing Service and Maintenance Building, also designed by Crane, and encompasses a total floor area of approximately 7,000 square feet including general offices, commissioners conference room, data management room, accounting room, executive lunch and lounge room, and toilets facilities. The facility includes a passenger elevator and is fully accessible.
